The fairies should have invested in high-quality stainless steel, they wouldn’t have had that problem. Also they would have been able to touch the blade.
Oh man, bad idea,I’m no metallurgist, but as far as I’ve read on sword and blacksmith forums, titanium blades do not keep their edge well at all. This hasn’t been very elaborated in-story, but fair folk’s weapons are either generally flint, bone, or bronze; they aren’t very keen on “tech”
They don’t do legendary swords like they used to.
